Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant, Neurosurgery and Interventional Radiology

Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH

The Sections of Neurosurgery and Interventional Radiology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join the Neuro-endovascular team. The APP will work closely with the staff physicians in Neurosurgery and Interventional Radiology and with referring physicians to treat vascular diseases of the central nervous system and to provide appropriate care to patients, including performing history and physical exams, ordering, interpreting, and evaluating laboratory and diagnostic tests, assisting with same day pre-procedural evaluations and discharges, coordination of periprocedural care, obtaining consent, and providing education to patients regarding plan of care. The APP will be involved in instructing medical students, residents, and fellows, and a Faculty Appointment at The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth will be requested. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively. Experience in neurosurgery, neurology, and/or interventional radiology preferred. This is a full-time day shift, benefited position with no call and no weekend responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA academic program
  • National specialty certification as FNP, WHNP, PNP, ANP or certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Eligible for RN licensure in the State of NH (APRN only)
  • Eligible for APRN or PA licensure in the State of NH
  • Eligible for Federal DEA Registration
  • BLS certification
