Malcolm Hauthaway MS, PA
President, President Elect
Having completed a pre-med undergraduate degree, graduate PA program, and been employed as a full-time PA since 2004, all in New Hampshire, I’ve seen medicine evolve quite a bit in the Granite State. I remember learning very early in my career that NH was among the best few states for PA practice, in terms of PA-friendly state laws, and felt gratitude for the NH PAs ahead of me, who had worked to that end. As I practiced over the years, I saw this decline, however, and became aware of the need for change with an evolving healthcare delivery system. Realizing change wouldn’t happen by itself, I decided to get involved, and am proud to work among giving and talented peers.
Quality and free time are spent with family, and friends, music, skiing, snowboarding, and hiking, among some things. I live and work in the Seacoast area of NH and have worked in Orthopedics since graduating and currently do so at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Since graduating from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2011, I have worked in various settings including urgent care, general/trauma surgery, and primary care. For the past 6 years, I have been working in Dermatology which has been my passion and dream since becoming a PA. I love educating and treating patients with skin conditions/cancers and brings me so much joy to be able to help them each and every day. More recently, I have had a strong desire to become more involved in my community which led me to join committees for NHSPA along with becoming a Member at Large. I am super excited for what the future holds for the PA community and will continue to educate my community on dermatologic conditions and access as best I can!
